A goal without a plan remains just a daydream
هدف بدون خطة عمل يبقى مجرد حلم يقظة
we all have this dream of being capable in English
or
at least reach a certain level and feel sense of progression
كلنا عندنا الرغبة في أن نكون متمكنين في اللغة الإنجليزية ونحسن لغتنا مع مرور الوقت
but
the problem with most of us
that we don't have a clear way how to achieve that
here is a simple idea of a plan that you can follow
هنا مثال لخطة مبسطة ممكن تتبعها أو تعطيك فكرة كيف تخطط

First & foremost
you have to
write down your goals & take a look at
them everyday
in PC, or mobile phone
or any kind of gadget that you use everyday
so
whenever you open your laptop
the 1st thing you see is your goals
why ?
because it gives you motivation to keep going

هي كتابة الأهداف والإطلاع عليهم كل يوم
ليش ؟
لإن هذا يعطيك حافز للإستمرار لتحقيق الهدف

Your Goal in English is divided into 4 parts
life goal
year goal
month goal
day goal
هدفك في الإنجليزية مقسم إلى 4 أجزاء
هدفك في العمر ، هدفك في السنة ، هدفك في الشهر ، هدفك في اليوم
your year goal will get closer to your life goal
your month goal will get you closer to your year goal
your day goal will get you closer to your month goal
إذا أنجزت هدفك في اليوم بيقربك من هدفك في الشهر، وهدفك في الشهر يقربك من هدفك في السنة
Here is the Plan
My life goal
is to be fluent in English
هدفي في الحياة إتقان اللغة الإنجليزية
My year goal
vocabulary = 1200 words
100 hours of listening
three books each book 100 pages
24 rules
هدفي هذي السنة
1200 كلمة ، 100 ساعة استماع ، 3 كتب ، 24 قاعدة
My monthly goal
100 words
8 hours of listening
25 pages
2 rules
هدفي كل شهر
100 كلمة، 8 ساعات استماع، 25 صفحة، قاعدتين
My daily goal
3 - 4 words
30 minutes of listening
1 page
هدفي كل يوم
3 -4 كلمات، 30 دقيقة استماع، صفحة واحدة
as we can see from the plan
few things that are easily doable everyday, 1 page, 3 words, 30 min listening, can add more to us in a year time
نلاحظ أن أشياء بسيطة كل يوم ، 3 كلمات، 30 دقيقة، صفحة واحدة ، ستضيف لنا الكثير بعد سنة
The bottom line is
learning English is an everyday task
تعلم اللغة الإنجليزية هو عمل يومي

Set a Realistic Plan
حط خطة واقعية
it's not about how much you cover, it is about how much you observe & understand
For words
you have to know the meaning, spelling and how to use them
الكلمات يجب أن تفهم معناها والتهجئة والإستخدام
الحفظ لمجرد حفظ المعنى طريقة غير فعالة
أفضل طريقة هي وضع الكلمة أو الكلمات في جملة
كما في المثال
memorizing the meaning only is not the effective way of learning
avoid = يمنع
evaluate = يقيم
provide = يمنح
the best way to understand a word is to put it in a sentence
companies want to provide good service to customers so they evalaute their suppliers to avoid delays.
For grammars
search for 3 - 5 sources
للقواعد أبحث في 3 - 5 مصادر
كل ما قريت أكثر كل ما زاد فهمك للقاعدة
وبعدها تبحث و تتعرف على القاعدة إذا وجهتها في مقال أو برنامج تلفزيوني
the more sources you read, the more you increase your awareness of the rule
& the language in general
2 grammars a month sounds a little ?
not really
The idea is not to understand them for once, but how to be fully capable of using them
in the whole month, your all focus is on these 2 rules:
how to use them?
where to use them?
where not to use them?
can I notice them used in movies, TV or newspapers?
how do they add to my writing?
am I able to use them in my conversations?
and so on ...

The plan is effective because
الخطة فعالة لإن هدف اليوم سيوصلك لهدف الشهر وهدف الشهر يوصلك لهدف السنة
وتقدر اطبق مثل هذه الخطة في مجالات غير اللغة، نفس الرياضة والعبادة والصحة والوظيفة
if you do your everyday task, you will automaticlly acheive your monthly task
and if your monthly task is done, then you will reach your yearly task
By the way
you can use the same plan to improve
your fitness
your work
your health
your worship
your relationship
your skill
... etc
and make sure to review at the end of each month
